Welcome to Bee Clean Car Washes
This is Josh McCooey, general manager again, thanks for joining us.
Today we are going to talk about our free air at Bee Clean Car Washes. All of our sites have free air and free vacuums.
Specifically on the free air, we think there is a value to the community because you don’t have to wait in line at the tire place to get your air checked or to pump up your tire. You don’t have to pay any money at the gas station, you can come on in, use the free air – they all have gauges and you can get back on the road in a safe manner.
So at each location you’re going to see a free air sign with a boom like this that comes out. It’s a retractable hose you can pull up pull down, when you’re ready you can go ahead and pull it down. Wait till it hooks and hangs. Once it does, you’re good to go. You have your air pressure here, here’s your air gauge. This is the nozzles that goes on to the tire valve here. Take your cap off. You’re going to insert and hold tightly up against and then insert air, you’re going to hold it down.
His suggested tire pressure is 44 and you can see on the gauge where it comes up. 44 PSI he’s good to go.
On most tires you’re going to see on the sides where it says “Max Load” and “Max Pressure”
Here if you follow over the max pressure is 44 PSI.
We suggest using the specs for your specific tire.
Some of the things you want to make sure of, especially if it rains or you have some hydroplaning option issues, or when it gets cold and the pressure from your tire goes down, take a look, measure your tire, pay attention to you gauges inside your car and swing by and come check your air.
And when you’re all done, make sure you put the cap back on nice and tight. We collect these all the time at different washes, and make sure your hose gets retracted all the way back up, nice and slow. Retract the hose back up, and it’s ready for the next customer.
Now one of the things while we’re here with the tire that I wanted to talk to you about is your tire tread. You have heard before about checking the tire tread with a penny. With a penny if you take a penny and turn it upside down and the top of Abe Licnoln’s head. If you can put the penny in on the tire and you can see where it goes below. The tire tread on this tire is perfect. If it were up higher and it didn’t touch the head of Abraham Lincoln, then you will need to get your tires replaced – the tread really isn’t safe at that point.
